Our Masterclass Series is a special educational event held throughout the year, designed to enrich students' learning beyond their regular weekly lessons.

Masterclasses may be led by The Pianist Music Academy teaching team, as well as guest pianists, performers, university lecturers, and industry professionals, providing students with valuable insights from a range of experienced musicians.

Personalised Lesson
At The Pianist Music Academy, every lesson is delivered in a one-on-one private setting, allowing students to receive full attention, tailored guidance, and consistent progress.

Each student follows a personalised learning pathway designed around their age, experience, learning style, and musical goals. Whether your child is an absolute beginner or an advancing pianist, our teachers carefully adjust the lesson pace, repertoire, and technical focus to ensure every step feels achievable and rewarding.

Trial Lesson + Interview
At The Pianist Music Academy, we believe every student deserves a thoughtful and personalised start. To ensure the best teacher match and learning pathway, we offer a complimentary 15-minute trial lesson, followed by a brief Director Interview prior to enrolment.

During the trial, we take time to understand your child’s musical readiness and learning style.
​
For absolute beginners, we observe focus, learning pace, coordination, and basic posture.

For students with previous piano experience, we assess their current level, technique, note reading, rhythm, and foundational theory knowledge.

Following the lesson, the Director Interview provides an opportunity to discuss goals and expectations, and to recommend the most suitable program and lesson structure.This ensures your child begins with clarity, confidence, and the right support from the very first lesson.

End-of-Year Recitals
Our Mid-Year and End-of-Year Recitals are major academy events that celebrate the hard work, growth, and achievements of our students throughout the year.

These special performances provide students with the opportunity to develop confidence, musical expression, and stage presence while sharing their music with family, friends, and the wider academy community.

More than a performance, our recitals are a celebration of each student's musical journey, bringing families, students, and teachers together to recognise progress, dedication, and achievement.

Mini Concerts
Our Mini Concert Series is one of The Pianist Music Academy’s special community events, designed to strengthen communication between students, parents, and teachers while providing valuable performance opportunities.
​
Many of our Mini Concerts are designed for AMEB students, allowing them to perform their repertoire, gain performance experience, and build confidence before examinations and assessments.
​
These events help students showcase their progress, learn from one another, and celebrate their musical achievements in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Yes! We encourage parents to sit in and support their child's learning during lessons. If you are unable to stay in the classroom, we also provide short lesson videos after each lesson. These videos help parents guide and support correct practice at home.

As students grow in confidence and maturity, we gradually encourage them to develop greater independence during lessons while still keeping parents informed of their progress.
Make-up lesson options depend on our academy policy and teacher availability.

All cancelled lessons will be deducted in the invoice.
